ABOUT

Read here about my teaching style, why I want to teach, the benefits of yoga and my personal yoga journey.

HI DEAR AND

WELCOME..

I’m Evelina, a curious human being, enthusiastic woman and yoga teacher living in Copenhagen.

I’m happy that our paths cross here and I believe you’re here for a reason.

Let’s connect, move, breathe and grow together.

Teaching style

My main focus lays on holding a safe space in a non-judgmental atmosphere, so my yoga students feel free to explore their own practice.

I teach mainly dynamic and strong Vinyasa classes. You’ll find a good portion of postures from the Primary Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa in my sequences. My classes can be challenging but always accessible. You always have the opportunity to explore your body’s potential, be playful and have fun. My “goal” is to see you leaving class feeling good in your own skin.

I believe in the healing aspect of yoga as a moving meditation, that always starts with conscious breathing. So you will certainly hear me highlighting the importance of moving with the breath. I’m convinced that by connecting physical postures (asanas) with the breath we create deeper connections between body & mind and can connect with ourselves on a profound level.

The main part of my classes is usually built with the aim of gradually creating heat without straining. The fundamental elements of strength, flexibility and balance will be combined and mindfully integrated in my sequences.

The effort and energy that you put into your practice will help you to ground yourself. There will always be time and space to turn inward, to observe, to listen to yourself, to adapt and evolve.

I find it of great importance to teach with clear alignment cues and to avoid potentially harmful movements. I prepare and teach my classes with highest respect to the anatomy of the body and its biomechanics.

Sharing the knowledge

The main reason for teaching is my wish for sharing my love for and knowledge about yoga. I want to create and hold space for others to have similar experiences than I had and continually have by the dedication to this practice.

I am passionate about learning and teaching various limbs of yoga. The thing I love most about teaching asana (posture) in specific is the unique opportunity to help others appreciate just how strong, capable and beautiful the body is. I love to connect with others through yoga. I am here to empower others to listen and to be kind to yourself. Furthermore I like the creative work that comes with teaching, planning new sequences and writing about my insights.

Along my own forever learning path, I’m deeply committed to share my knowledge and insights in the role of a yoga teacher.
We are on this journey together.

Benefits of the practice

Through and alongside my yoga practice I’ve finally allowed myself to feel all the feels. It cracked me wide open, it taught me to be kind to myself and day after day cultivating a loving and safe place within to grow stronger and more compassionate.

Yoga has been my steady anchor ever since I first stepped on a yoga mat. Yoga makes me feel grounded, balanced and connected with myself. It helps me to find my inner strength, see my life clearer, reflect more deeply and develop as a human being.

Yoga made me stronger and more flexible on a physical level, but most importantly it brought me closer to myself within.

My yoga journey so far

I’ve been practicing yoga on a daily basis ever since I went to that morning yoga class during my holidays in Morocco back in 2019. Yoga Asana became quickly an important part of my life. I started to clearly notice the knock-on effect that the dedication to my yoga practice had on my life off the mat.

And I started to realize, that something in my life has to change. So I saved up money, quit my job, moved to Denmark to share my life with my viking. I fell in love with the Primary Series of Ashtanga during my first months in Copenhagen and I got curious. I wanted to know more about Ashtanga, everything beyond the physical practice.

After some months of reflecting, I signed up for my first Yoga Teacher Training at a yoga school called Nydum. I was eager to learn everything from asana (the physical part of yoga practice), yoga philosophy, yoga history, anatomy and alignment. By the end of the one month’s program I knew, teaching yoga is what I want to do.

I started building up a teaching schedule back in 2021, adding constantly more and more classes. Today I’ve taught over 1000h of yoga classes, which led me to earn an E-RYT certification (Yoga Alliance credential standing for “Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher”). I’m teaching in multiple studios and gyms in Copenhagen as well as online.

I’ve been growing as a teacher, but also as a student, constantly studying and keeping up my own practice.

In June 2023 I had the privilege to join an intensive 50h Rocket Vinyasa training with Steve Pyka from Asta Yoga, which was inspiring and empowering.

In May 2024 I did my second 200h teacher training, studying with the amazing Monica Gauci and Gregor Maehle from 8 limbs Yoga. The highly valuable knowledge I gained, added another layer of depth to my teachings.

In Spring 2025 I will expand my knowledge through a 85h Pre- and Postnatal Teacher Training with Mathilde Sofie Milan, Lauriane Camus & Leah Wrobel at the Yogaflat in Copenhagen.

Also in Spring 2025 I will participate in a 50-h Hands-On-Assist Teacher Training with Hanne Konstantin, my dear teacher, at the Yogaflat in Copenhagen.

I’m feeling beyond grateful for being able to explore this huge world of yoga. There are no limits of learning, so I will be a forever student.
