The myth of grown-up jobs
The Myth of Grown-Up Jobs: Redefining What Work Really Means
In a world that often equates success with certain prestigious job titles, the idea of a "grown-up job" has taken root deeply in our minds. But what happens when the career that society celebrates doesn't align with your true self?
In this post, I explore the illusion of "real" jobs versus "unreal" jobs and how societal (including our own) expectations can trap us in unfulfilling careers.
Drawing from my personal journey from law to yoga teaching, I challenge the notion that our worth and identity is tied to our job title.

The art of sustainable growth
After summer break, I eagerly embraced work and my passion for teaching yoga. However, my pace started to make me feel exhausted. Recognizing the need for change, I committed to two essential shifts: Shifting down a gear in my productivity to ensure proper rest, and cultivating patience in the pursuit of growth.
A blogpost about the ongoing search for balance between passionate pursuits and self-care.

The urge for perfection
It seems like we as human beings are conditioned to want to do things the perfect way, a burden we put often unconsciously onto ourselves. We strive to do things perfectly, appear perfectly to others, have the perfect balance in life, have the perfect bodies and simply BE perfect.
To take this urge of perfectionism to the yoga-mat I’d like to repeat, what Little is pointing out: “Yoga is not meant to make the body perfect, but rather support your body’s signature unique shape.”

The speed culture
When we move swiftly, the world passes by in a blur. In the fast-track experience, we do not look around or take anything in. It is difficult to see clearly when we’re moving lickety-split down the track.
If you too feel like there are not enough hours in the day, you might want to read this blogpost and get some insights and inspirations about living in a culture of speed.

The trust issues
Here’s one of my major trust issues:
Whenever I've gotten / felt a minor injury / pain / discomfort somewhere in my body, I’ve gone straight into panic-mode. In these situations I've caught myself thinking "well Evelina, this is it, now you won't ever recover. You’ll live a miserable life or even die".
